San Diego State University, in collaboration with the University of California, San Diego, offers four doctoral degrees (Ph.D.) in Engineering Science (Bioengineering), Engineering Science (Electrical and Computer), Engineering Science (Mechanical and Aerospace), and Engineering Science (Structural).

Courses in AI and Autonomous Systems
We are dedicated to expanding the AI course offerings at SDSU. A new AI course, “COMPE696: AI for Unmanned Systems”, will launch in Spring 2025.
The Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA) Program provides academic support, “out of classroom” experiences, and industry and alumni engagement, which help students succeed academically and develop professionally to achieve career goals.
UCSD STARS ProgramThe San Diego Summer Training Academy for Research Success (STARS) program is an eight-week summer research academy for community college students, undergraduates, recent college graduates, and master's students. STARS offers rigorous research opportunities and graduate school preparation workshops, as well as cultural and social activities in San Diego.
